Dior x Pierre Yovanovitch
Dior Maison

Dior Maison presents a collection of objects designed by Pierre Yovanovitch. The collection, which includes a range of home objects such as trays and lamps, is inspired by the beauty of the French countryside, from the nature to the grandeur and history of some of its castles. In particular, Yovanovitch references the Chateau de la Colle Noir in Montaroux, a property Christian Dior acquired in the 1950s and the Chateau de Fabregues on which he has been working for the past decade. Dubbed Midi the collection finds beauty in simplicity and utilises local, sustainable materials such as wood and hand blown glass.

Louise Colet was French poet and novelist, as noted for her friendships with leading men of letters as for her own work.Daughter of a businessman, she married a musician, Hippolyte Colet, in 1834, and published her first poetry, “Fleurs du Midi,” in 1836. Her Paris salon became a meeting place for literary lights, notably Gustave Flaubert, with whom she had a stormy eight-year liaison, during which he composed his Lettres addressed to Mme Colet under the guise of “The Muse.”
