If, like ours, your work-from-home window doesn’t look out to much, here’s a portal to a watering hole in Tembe Elephant Park, a 300sq/km reserve between Zululand and Mozambique. Spot elephants, lions, giraffes and buffalos, among other spectacular varieties of wildlife, including 360 bird species as they meander across the screen for a bathe or a sip of water. (Tip: the sound of the live stream is better than ANY white noise machine.)

Pools (2017) by Belgian painter Harold Ancart is a series of three-dimensional relief forms made of concrete, then layered with rich colours. Lamenting the lack of pools on one sweltering summer day in New York City, Ancart decides to bring the pool to his studio: “Anyone could afford the space for one, and even if one could not bathe in it, one could still invite their friends to have a drink or a cigarette around the pool.” Now, if only we could bring a sun-soaked lido into our own home office right about now.
