Spot elephants, lions, giraffes and buffalos, among other spectacular varieties of wildlife, including 360 bird species as they meander across the screen for a bathe or a sip of water. Harold Ancart: Pools
David Zwirner Viewing Room

Art & design—Harold Ancart brings the pool indoors: a timed online exhibition by David Zwirner

Courtesy of DavidZwirner.com

Pools (2017) by Belgian painter Harold Ancart is a series of three-dimensional relief forms made of concrete, then layered with rich colours. Lamenting the lack of pools on one sweltering summer day in New York City, Ancart decides to bring the pool to his studio: “Anyone could afford the space for one, and even if one could not bathe in it, one could still invite their friends to have a drink or a cigarette around the pool.” Now, if only we could bring a sun-soaked lido into our own home office right about now.

Each episode features a call-in show during which guests ask resident historian Dr Scott Rank just about anything (If you were sent back in time, how would you kill Hitler?), and an interview with a bestselling author from a diverse selection. Best listened to while tidying the sock drawer for the ninth time this month.
