Surrealist artist Eileen Agar’s work fuses abstraction with classical imagery, informed by the natural world and sexual pleasure. This year, the Whitechapel Gallery presents Eileen Agar: Angel of Anarchy, celebrating Agar’s largest exhibition to date, with over 100 paintings, collages, photographs and archive material on show, much of which has rarely been exhibited before.

Well-respected ikebana teacher and long-standing Bouquets to Art exhibitor and presenter, Soho Sakai, began practising the ancient Japanese discipline of ikebana in 1957 in Kumamoto, Japan. On 9 June 2021 Sakai will be leading an hour-long flower arranging presentation, where she will be discussing the relationship between ikebana, nature and the expression of emotion through floral design.

Both recognised for spreading awareness of environmental issues, Khan and Ghosh will be talking to Guardian editor Alex Clark about their unique creative fields, and how they utilise art to spread awareness of the ongoing environmental crisis.

To showcase the #Dioriviera capsule collection from FW21, Dior have opened a chain of pop-up spaces around the world. Among these locations is the Selfridges pop-up in London, open from Tuesday 1 June. Not only has the store been transformed into a fantasy of the distant French Riviera, but Dior will also be taking over Selfridges’ rooftop restaurant: Dior at Alto. Dressed in toile de Jouy, this exquisite setting will be accompanied by a menu carefully composed in-house by Dior, including some of Monsieur Dior’s favourite dishes.

Documenting the obscure locations that gloves are commonly misplaced, Cave once again gives forgotten objects a story of their own. 100 special edition copies of the book will be released, each including an original polaroid.
