There really is no word in the English language that can directly translate that invigorating sensation that comes from witnessing the vast and illuminating big city lights for the first time—the extraordinary euphoria that you’re now a participant in, or audience to, the pulsating ebb and flow of the city streets.

Arriving in a new city conjures a ravenous desire to at first grapple with the visuals: the grand architecture and soaring metallic skyscrapers, a mishmash of flickering lights that nod at Emporio Armani’s shifting blue, grey and beige palette for SS19’s “In Transit” collection. Then there’s the movement which is always vibrant and dance-like—another nod at the collection’s iridescence and fluidity which was playfully performed at Milan Linate, blessed by Robbie Williams (not Robin, RIP) and his dance troupe. Of course.
